February 8th ’19 – The Beginning
Thai Group Virtual first began as an idea. Infinite Flight Community (IFC) members, @W4RRIOR and @samdog27 decided that they wanted to start a new virtual airline. They decided on Thai because of the wide variety of aircraft and the lovely scenery in Thailand.
February 17th ’19 – IFVARB Process
On the 17th of February, 2019, @W4RRIOR and @samdog27 reserved Thai Virtual with the IFVARB and that began a long process. The first things they did were write their Mission Statements and CEO statements.
May 11th ’19 – Review Process
On the 11th of May, 2019, @samdog27 was told that Thai Virtual had been picked to proceed in the IFVARB process. The team was overjoyed that their hard work was finally going to pay-off!
May 17th ’19 – Approved
On the 17th of May, 2019, Thai Group Virtual was officially IFVARB-approved and began recruiting pilots. We always remember this date as our anniversary.
June 4th ’19 – New CEO
On June 4th, 2019, Rohith Krishna took the helm as the new CEO of Thai Virtual. He was a strong leader and helped Thai Virtual through lots of things. Thai Virtual couldn’t be what it is now without him!
September 28th ’19 – Piya Takes Control
On September 28th, 2019, Piya Kraitus became the new CEO of Thai Virtual after Rohith had to quit. He has kept Thai Virtual running ever since and we are strong with him!
I joined initially to be more active in the IF community. It has been more than just a club, it’s been a place where I’ve made new friends, practiced communication, shared jokes and laughs, as well as being able to share my passion for aviation with others. It’s been great to participate in the numerous events, and I would love to see more people join.
